The xx - “Intro”

If there ever exists a band that’s perfect for every occasion, it’s The xx. Honestly, I can’t imagine there being a moment when I wouldn’t want to listen to them. I’ve literally had their album on repeat for the past 36 hours. Pinpointing their sound is a bit difficult. It’s a cross between experimental electronic and low-fi indie rock. The xx’s album, xx, flows so perfectly from start to finish that it’s unbelievably easy to get lost in their sound. 

The xx blew up on the indie music circuit last August when their first album dropped. I have yet to read a bad review about it, and what’s more impressive is that all of the band members are fresh out of their teens! This is one band I’m really disappointed to be coming in late on. They actually played a sold out show at Big Ears Festival last month, and they’re set to appear at every major music festival this summer.
