Yesterday, I randomly bought Johnny Rivers Rocks the Folk while browsing through Wuxtry Records’ folk section. It was only three bucks, so if it turned out to be disastrous, I didn’t mind. The record is a collection of covers. Like I’ve said, normally, I’m not a fan, but I figured that its hard to go wrong with songs like “Mr. Tambourine Man” and “Blowin’ in the Wind”. I’ve only listened to one track since my record player is in need of a new needle. It’s not bad. It definitely sounds like 1965.
